Star Wars Anti-gravity Holiday Cake
This was the cake I made for one of my family Christmas parties. I’m a huge Star Wars fan! This was in honor of “The Rise Of Skywalker” that came out during December 2019.
I made a rocky road chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I used white Swiss Meringue Buttercream on the outside for a winter effect. Here are the supplies you will need to achieve this look:
To make the fondant snowflakes you will need the snowflake punch cutters. I brushed white pearl luster dust without any liquid, directly onto the fondant snowflakes. Let those dry over night. To make the icy look on the outside of the cake I used sugar crystals. For the drip I used, navy blue candy melts from Baker’s Cash & Carry. You can also use Royal Blue depending on what color you’d like. You will also need an anti-gravity cake pole to hold up Kylo Ren & Rey.
I used the tube of a toilet paper roll, with a hole cut out in the middle, to level out the action figures. I then stuffed the toilet paper tube roll full of the styrofoam popcorn packaging material to make it more stable for the action figures to stand on. I obviously don’t recommend people eating styrofoam! Use whatever works! I wrapped the whole tube and anti-gravity pole in gray fondant to make the appearance of them standing on the ship.
Here is a YouTube video of me decorating the cake.
